Summer of 2023 was a blaze, with daily average heat records being broken day after day. The NewsHour social/graphics/digital team often utilizes instagram carousels to share research or news in a timely and engaging way, as seen in these slides that break down a graph of worldwide air temperature using a tool that was most often cited during this time. I helped develop our style of combining text, data, original icons and other elements to create slides that carry the reader through a story.
