- Created motion graphics, including data-driven animations using expressions in After Effects, that simply and accessibly explain scientific processes such as vaccines, light pollution, and margin of error
- Collaborated with reporters, producers, and editors to provide stylistic and insightful visuals that enhanced stories across multiple platforms, including online, social and broadcast
- Crafted engaging voice-overs, and compiled images, video, and graphics for scientific explainer videos
- Conceptualized and managed projects from initial sketches through final publishing, including designing Slack workflows to facilitate production
- Developed new visual styles for graphics that fit existing branding and implemented organization-wide templates for novel formats
- Obtained consent from scientific publications to adapt charts and maps to fit PBS News’ style
- Analyzed and distilled data from PBS News/Marist polls to create intuitive charts, working in an unpredictable, fast-paced, and high-pressure “breaking news” setting
